FLESH AND FIRE: Book One of the Vineart War will be in stores in three months. So, while I'm doing all the other stuff a writer has to do (that whole 'writing the next book' thing) I also need to start thinking about promotion, publicity, and getting the buzz started. Traditionally, a contest is a time-effective way to do that. Plus, it amuses me. Does it amuse you?

Feel free to leave further comments in the, well, comments section.

Only vaguely on topic, but next time you're down here, you may want to take a trip to the winery I was at today. All kinds of interesting things.

hrm. I may (MAY!) be in the process of being talked into coming down to DC for the day, for the Harlequin party at RWA.... I suppose I could make it a longer trip....

May wine, dandelion wine, two kinds of mead, plum, strawberry, peach, blackberry and blueberry wines, a spiced apple wine, and more... Tastings on the half hour.

Oooh, that sounds like a winery I'm familiar with. It wouldn't happen to be located in Mount Airy, would it?

Just for the DAY?

I'm going to start serious sulking.

Of course, right now you'd have to share the spare room with a family of kitties.....

If I visit ca' McConnell right now, I might come home with a kitten in each pocket, and that would be Bad.

Really.

Pandora says so.

Coward!

Besides, they're not going anywhere for at least six more weeks.

You are making me choose between an ARC and a bottle of wine? You are a cruel woman!

I was thinking the same thing! An ARC and a bottle of wine would be a fantastic prize, don't you think?

do you have any idea how much all that would cost to ship? *mock-glares*

That was supposed to be "Aren't we worth it?"

I'll tell you after we see how the book sells. ;-)

I'm not really drawn to a Tuckerization of myself; I've been idly pondering this for the last few days, and have realized that while I'm not interested in one of me (because it doesn't seem that someone who doesn't know me would write me in a way that seemed like me to me), i would be interested in one of my cats.

*giggles helplessly*

I'll just have to remember this for future reference.
