yay: *quiet travel-related squee*

boo: my knee is borked again. This getting older business? Not designed wwith considerations to joint wear and tear. I do not approve.

boo/yay: a weekend of really frustrating editorial clean-up (revisions and copyedits I disagreed with) is finally done. Boo for it happening, yay for coming out the other side (mostly)

yay: stew is stewing, and the surprise! fajita strips I defrosted with the stew meat has been turned into a sort of-but-not-really orange beef. nom nom nom. And there was cabbage salad, which is also nom. And the last of my Zinfandel from Stephen & Walker/Trust Winery Ltd, which is boo but it was delish so that's a yay.

serious boo: Giants losing the game in the last damned minute.

yay: got my exercise in.

yay: another day avoiding the WFC plague-bug, despite sniffles on waking.

*counts up the score* Yay Day!

How 'bout y'all?

Does being on the 'getting better' side of the stomach flu count as a yay, or that I still have the darn thing count as a boo?

Bengals win = yay. (Hell, every game they win from here on out is a big yay, since we see them so rarely.)

70F weather outside = yay.

Having to stay inside because I'm sick = boo.

Getting to sleep in on Sunday = yay.

I guess that means that even if that first one is a boo, I still had a yay day 3-2.

my day was remarkably productive.

1) Finished category proposal for consumer advice site I've been writing for

2) went to Inwood to consult re interior design project (not really my usual thing but they need someone organized to track things and I am that)

3) Finished research on next article for Boris' site

4) did laundry

I have, thus far, avoided getting sniffling or anything like that. Sheer luck probably and the fact that I haven't been around many people lately.

Dude. You were in my neck of the woods and didn't call? *is insulted*

I know! I know! But I was rushing in and out and fleeing back down. Now that I am "on the project" though, I shall be there at least every couple of weeks until everything is done.

It's just a hop, skip and a jump to your place, right? And then I can meet the kitties and see the renovated kitchen :-)

rox said hi back. i said hi for you.

she also said she's quite shy and retiring.

i fell into a coughing fit and she snarked me!

Getting rousted out of bed early at out-laws' house by screaming rabid wolfpack of brother-out-law's children = boo

Being up in time for breakfast = yay

Lovely visit w/the out-laws after the rabid wolfpack had gone home = yay

Patriots beating the Dolphins (and the game on TV in upstate NY!) = yay

Traffuck on Route 17 in Middletown = boo

Otherwise uneventful trip home = yay

Lovely, relaxing dinner while watching the Eagles/Cowboys game at Archie Moore's = yay

Tony Romo scoring us enough fantasy points to allow us to come from behind for the win = yay

The Cowboys still winning the game = boo

... so all in all, much more Yay! today. :)

The Redskins suck = boo

Brats simmered in beer and onions and then put on the grill = yay

Having to stick close to the office indefinitely and therefore have to skip Philcon = major booooooooo
